Open Awning billing terms

Who this is between. These terms are between The Local Beacon LLC of Havre de Grace, Maryland, which makes Open Awning, and the shop owner who accepts them.
What stays free. Being listed is free. Claiming your shop and managing its details is free. You are never charged for either one.
What costs money. Receiving costs $8 for each location, each month, or $80 for each location, each year. You choose the period when you start. Receiving is the service that brings a customer’s heads-up to your counter.
When billing starts. Never on its own. Seeing an arrival does not start billing. Billing starts only when you open Manage billing, read these terms, and press the button that starts Receiving. Until you press it, you owe nothing.
Founding shops. The first 25 shops to start Receiving pay $40 for their first year instead of $80. Two conditions apply. The shop must be one of the first 25 to start, and it must start before 31 December 2026. After that first year the price is $80 for each location, each year.
Your first 14 days. Receiving keeps working for 14 days after your first real arrival while you decide. Those days are free.
Invoices. We send an invoice by email through Stripe at the start of each month you are subscribed. It is due 14 days after we send it. We do not hold a card on file.
If an invoice goes unpaid. We may pause Receiving for new heads-ups. A share already running is never cut off. You keep your listing, your claim and your shop details.
Renewal. Your subscription renews every month, or every year on a yearly plan, until you cancel it.
Yearly plans. We email you before a yearly renewal.
Cancelling. Open your dashboard and choose Manage billing. That opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can cancel. Cancelling stops all future charges. Receiving stops taking new heads-ups at the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds. We do not refund a partial month.
Price changes. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it starts.
Tax. Prices do not include tax. We add any tax the law requires us to collect.
What paying does not buy. Receiving is the only thing you are paying for. It does not buy a Verified shop seal, a Beacon verified seal, a place in The Local Beacon, or any coverage. Those are not for sale at any price.
Governing law. Maryland law governs these terms.
